July 2008 - Happy Fourth of July!
THEME OF THE MONTH - This month we are working on conflict resolution/ Problem
Solving. This is a great skill to have as we often have
to make difficult decisions or resolve situations. It is important to
not over react and make choices without thinking about the possible
outcomes. No one ever wins by fighting.
Always try to talk things out to resolve your issues. The true winner
is the one who never fights, but rather finds the win/win situation.
WOMEN’S
QUIK FIT - We are pleased to announce that Jonnie
Scardigno, Cindy Gray, Linda Chartier and Agnes Hall
have accomplished over 50 Quik Fit workouts.
These ladies have lost over 14 pounds and 4 inches. Congratulations on
a job well done.
Our workout program is only $24.95 per month for unlimited visits. .
OPEN HOUSE
PARTY - We will be having our 6th anniversary party on August
2. We will have fun, prizes, games, water slides and
bouncers. This event is open to the public – feel
free to invite your friends and family! We will be having a beginning
class where they can earn their white belt on that day so be sure to
bring a new person! Additionally, we will be hosting a self-defense
seminar that is open to the public as well as all of our parents. There
is no cost to you but we are asking for a $5 donation with the proceeds
going to the Quigley House. The party is potluck. Also, we are asking
for parental help to supervise the various kid’s activities,
as the instructors will be teaching the classes! Parents must also be
there with their children, as this is an outside, unsupervised
activity. Also, at the end of the party, we will be doing our annual
pie throwing fundraiser for the WTSDA building fund. Please bring a
dollar if you would like to throw a pie at one of your instructors, or
team leaders! There will also be a demonstration at the party so be
sure to attend this spectacular event!!

SUMMER CAMP - We still have space available in our Summer Camp
program. All our students have fun playing games, swimming,
learning karate, doing arts and crafts and going on cool field trips.
Our camp has many benefits over a normal camp or daycare program. Our
ratio’s are usually very low. For example, this past Monday
we had a ratio of 3 or 4 kid’s to each adult. This allows us
to do special things with the children such as fishing, boating, and
teaching them how to swim. Also, our kids have access to bottled water
and pure air because we spend the extra money to ensure the comfort of
our children.
WORLD
SPONSORSHIP - We are asking all of our community members to help send
our students to the World Championships. In return for those
who sponsor, they will receive free advertisement in our newsletter as
well as on our website. Sponsorship sheets are available from
Joanne Manzi. Thank you to the following people/ companies
